CHRISTMAS PRAYER SERVICE
DECEMBER 25 TH PRAYER SERVICE
“Word became human and lived among us, we saw His glory.”
She who brought heaven to earth, who made God human, who bore the Word in her flesh in her blood, in her soul, gave it to the earth today. If she were not here, this earth would have no shelter. If her magical word
‘Let it be’ were not spoken, this great human incarnation would not have been.”
“Who is this? It is she, our Mother Mary
Let us seek the presence of the Mother, who brought the Savior to the world today, who sacrificed herself for our salvation, and who is the mother of all the living. Let us invite her to come and dwell not only in the manger, but also in the manger of our hearts. Let us welcome her with joyful hymns.
Mangalam mangalam
“Heaven’s light, earth’s delight, Star of stars, King of kings, Jesus, the monarch, is born today in a humble manger, He lies in a world searching for divinity, Divinity itself has come searching for humanity.”
The Word that circled the heavens has come to earth as a human.
Transcending the narrow boundaries of caste, creed, and color,
this day shines with joy across the globe.
Let us welcome this day with delight and unity with the world.
Music [ celebration mood ]
“The Messiah, the Savior, is born! Upon hearing this good news, let us hurry to meet Him, just like the shepherds.
Sisters, let us go to Bethlehem, not with empty hands. “Like the wise men who set out with precious gifts to visit the Child, let us approach the Prince of Peace with the small sacrifices, merits, and good deeds we have prepared with joy and vigilance over the past four weeks. Let us bring these as gifts to adore the King of Peace.”
PROCESSION: Song is played
“Birth is the miraculous creation of God, a celebration of divine love. Birth is the fountain of faith, and the promise of the future. The birth of a child brings indescribable joy. The joy of having a child is the greatest of all.”
“In this snowy season, a divine message is given to us. To us a child is born, to us a son is given.
The God who communicated with us in the past through nature and prophets, has come to us today as the Word that gives eternal life, as the Bread that nourishes us, as the Savior who redeems us from sin, and as the Child who guides us on the path of righteousness.”
If our birth is a miracle, then the human birth of Jesus Christ is a wonder. For, the birth of Jesus in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes, brings us the love, peace, and joy we have been waiting for. His birth gives us the courage to face life with confidence, even in the midst of sorrow. It reminds us that God is always with us, and that we are never alone.”
A child’s birth brings joy and laughter to the entire family.
The birth of Jesus was celebrated by a multitude of heavenly angels.
With colorful lights and celestial displays, kings and monarchs rejoice and celebrate.
Let us join the heavenly host and earthly monarchs in wishing a Happy Birthday to Jesus, born in our hearts and homes.”
SONG: HAPPY BIRTHDAY
From the beginning to the end of human life, language is intimately connected with humanity.
Many young people have even sacrificed their lives for their language and faith. In this profound emotional state, the God who created humanity, at the fullness of time, comes to meet us in His own form, that is, in the form of the Word.”
In the beginning of creation, God spoke, ‘Let there be light,’ and the world was filled with light through sound.
With His command, everything was created uniquely.
The history that was formed by the Word then is now fulfilled in Jesus, the Word made flesh. Jesus, who became the Word, the Way, and the Life, has come to this world to give us life.” Today’s celebration is a feast of grace, peace, love, and light, says our Holy Father.
Yes, it is a feast of grace because God’s grace has taken the form of humanity and bestowed glory upon us. May God’s grace, an inexhaustible source, overflow and rise everywhere on earth.”
Today’s celebration is a feast of love, because God’s boundless love for humanity has been revealed in the form of a child. May God’s love overflow and abound in the eyes that yearn for love.”
Today’s celebration is a feast of peace, because God’s peace, free from noise and pomp, has dwelled in the humble manger. May wars and violence cease throughout the world, and may peace prevail everywhere.”
Today’s celebration is a feast of light, because the true light that enlightens all humanity has dawned on this earth as a shining star. May light be born in darkened minds, and may it guide us on our journey.”
On this sacred day, when earth becomes heaven, let us praise and worship the God who dwells with us in love, peace, and light, as a divine blessing.”
HYMN:
The coming of the Word, God, brought salvation and dignity to all humanity. However, for each individual who accepted it with faith, it has been beneficial in many ways. “The Word, which is the central theme of the first chapter of the epic of salvation, became a turning point in the lives of the main characters.”
1.Mary, the Mother, who was introduced as the co-partner in the divine plan, stood by the side of the Almighty who descended into the manger.”
Lk 1:35
The Word spoken by the angel dispelled the confusion in the mind of Mary and gave her clarity and humility to say ‘yes’ to God’s will until the end.
Let us praise and worship the Word that strengthened the Virgin Mary, and may we too grow in clarity and humility, and offer the First Lamp.”
CHORUS: THEME “LIGHT”
2.In the epic of salvation, the one who shone with hidden light and received the title of ‘Righteous One’ is”
Mt1:20
Overcoming the fear of the pointless criticism from those around, the person was able to understand the divine will and, with courage and determination, accepted it. “Let us praise and worship the Word that made Joseph a garment of courage for God’s will, and may we too offer the Second Light to grow in courage and firmness of mind.”
CHORUS:THEME “LIGHT”
3.Shepherds, the guardians of the flock, and the first messengers of the Good News”
Lk:2:10,11
Let us praise the Word that gave joy, life, and faith to the shepherds, who were marginalized by poverty and lived on the outskirts of the town. May we too offer the Third Light to live with joy and faith.”
CHORUS:THEME “LIGHT”
4. “Three wise men who hastened to witness the savior”
Mt 2:12
Let us praise the Word that led the kings to worship and, after seeing the Savior, invited them to a new path with humility. May we too learn humility and seek the grace to travel on the new path for Jesus’ sake as we offer the Fourth Light.”
CHORUS:THEME “LIGHT”
The Word that created all things, controlled the wind and the sea, made the barren land fruitful, and straightened the crooked path, is also transforming our lives in various dimensions, nurturing, and changing us.”As a tribute to the Divine Word, which is the foundation and root of Christianity, and to worship the Lord who dwells with us in the form of the Word and Light, let us pay our tribute to the Word with candles, incense, and flowers by performing arathi.
ANJALI:
On this day when God is searching for us, let us receive the Divine Word that gives us strength, courage, and life as a Christmas gift. May these Words be our support when we stumble, our comfort when we are weary, and our strength when we are exhausted, on our journey of life.”
RECEIVING THE WORD OF THE DAY
Two thousand years ago, people walking in darkness saw a great light due to the arrival of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death saw a radiant light. Like joy arriving on harvest day, they appeared with inner joy.” Jesus, born on a midnight, brought great light. Born in a humble hut of the poor, he brought prosperity to life. Born among the cattle, he elevated humanity.”
- Yet, today, the number of those marginalized by the injustices of society, those who are oppressed, and those who are poor, is increasing rapidly. Jesus, who was born in a manger, without a place to rest, among the poor, and as a human being among people, is reborn in our hearts, homes, and the world. We pray in peace that evil may disappear, and goodness may flourish; that injustice may be destroyed, and justice may prevail; and that poverty may be eradicated, and people may rise up.”
- On this day, as we celebrate the arrival of the Word, God’s presence, let us pray for those who reject Jesus and for those who, like Herod, seek to destroy Him. May the Divine Word penetrate their hearts and bring about transformation.”
- Let us also pray for our Mother Church and the community. May all events and celebrations in the Church be guided by the Holy Spirit, under the guidance of Mother Mary, and be a source of inspiration for a life of Christian devotion and dedication. We seek blessings for this.”
- Let us pray to our Heavenly Father that our individual thoughts and actions may align with God’s will and purpose, and that we may conduct ourselves in accordance with His divine providence.”
OUR FATHER
May the reign of the Messiah bring fearlessness and abundant love throughout the world. May the distinctions between rich and poor, male and female, Christian and Hindu disappear, and humanity alone shine. May falsehood, darkness, and death be eradicated, and truth, light, and life flourish on earth. May the Lord’s kingdom bring about this transformation.”
“May the Word of God, the glory of the Lord, dwell in our hearts and homes forever. May we all shine like stars, discover Jesus like the shepherds, worship Him like the Magi, carry the cross like Simon of Cyrene, make room for Jesus like the innkeeper, serve the Lord like Mary, and walk with Jesus like Joseph. Let us live as the Christmas people of 2025 Jubilee. Wishing you all a loving Merry Christmas.”
