I DON’T KNOW ——
Prayer is not the raising of one’s mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God.
Did you know there’s a prayer called “I don’t know”?
Just go to some quiet place. Assuming being seated at the feet of God, say “I don’t know” I don’t know where to go from here.
I don’t know what is happening.
I don’t know how to process this.
I don’t know what to do with these emotions.
I don’t know how to handle this situation.
And then with whatever little grain of faith we have, let’s say, “but you know.” And leave it there.
God most certainly will hear our prayer.
