NATIVITY OF MOTHER MARY —–SEPTEMBER 8TH
PRAYER SERVICE
RECITE PSALM 100
“Today, we gather to celebrate a joyous occasion in the Catholic Church – the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This feast day commemorates the birth of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, and is a time to reflect on her remarkable life and virtues. Born to Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, Mary’s birth was a miraculous answer to their prayers, and her life was marked by humility, obedience, and unwavering devotion to God. As we honor Mary’s nativity, we are reminded of her vital role in the story of salvation and her enduring example of faith, hope, and love. Let us rejoice in the gift of Mary’s life and legacy, and may her witness inspire us to deepen our own relationship with God.” We greet our mother on her birthday with arathi, garlanding and placing sandal paste.
HYMN :
“We are here today to mark a significant moment in our journey together. The lighting of this lamp symbolizes the illumination of knowledge, wisdom, and hope. Just as a lamp dispels darkness and sheds light, may our collective efforts and endeavors bring light to our lives and the lives of those around us. May this lamp serve as a reminder of our commitment to learning, growth, and progress. Let us kindle this flame together, and may its radiance guide us forward.”
– “As we light this lamp, we ignite the spark of knowledge, creativity, and innovation.”
– “May the light of this lamp inspire us to shine bright in our pursuits and endeavors.”
– “With the lighting of this lamp, we embark on a journey of discovery, growth, and enlightenment.”
May our mother Mary, the morning star intercede for us us to embrace the path of divine light.
