Night Prayer
Loving God! We praise You, glorify You, worship You, and give You thanks. We thank You for making us a group, a family, friends – a tool to foster relationships, to share Your words of wisdom within those relationships and fulfill our duties, and for allowing us to find joy in those connections.
Forgive us for forgetting to comfort others; for forgetting to appreciate; for forgetting to say thank you; for forgetting to encourage.
Forgive us for failing to help others in their time of need, for failing to do good for others. Forgive us if we have been a hindrance or caused difficulty in others’ duties.
Forgive us if we have done anything to hurt the hearts of our parents, siblings, friends, or children.
God, our Mother and Father! Grant us good sleep this night. And tomorrow morning, enable us to rise again, to praise and glorify You, and to live even closer to You.

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips. For you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

🛐 Prayer 🛐
O Lord of love, who created the entire universe! This morning my thoughts seek only You. My heart yearns to behold Your divine face. Along with all creation, I praise, worship, and adore You. I offer You my thanks.
Our Risen Lord! Send Your Holy Spirit into us and grant us courage and wisdom. Deliver us from all the snares of the evil one. Just as Mary Magdalene recognized You in the garden tomb, grant us the grace to recognize You in the people we meet today. Help us not to cling to worldly affairs but to prioritize Your divine word.
O God of mercy!
On this day, as we remember Saint Mary Magdalene, called the ‘Apostle of Hope,’ we especially pray for the countless people who are deeply immersed in the mire of sin, struggling to escape. We intercede that they may cast off their sins, repent, and walk in Your path as children of love.

A Dutch diamond collector was seeking for a very rare diamond.
A diamond dealer in New York heard of this inquiry and contacted him…
… letting him know that he believed he possessed the diamond he was looking for.
The diamond collector arrived…
… and the dealer had his salesman present the diamond.
The salesman described all the technical aspects of the diamond.
However within minutes, the diamond collector rose his hand and said: “I am sorry!
This is not the diamond I am looking for”…
… and began to walk away.
Watching from a distance, the diamond dealer hurriedly intercepted him…
… and he asked him if he could present the diamond again.
Since he had travelled a long distance, the collector agreed to listen once again.
The dealer pulled out the same diamond and started describing his admiration for this particular diamond.
Within minutes they were signing papers, and the diamond was purchased.
As the gentleman was walking out, he asked, what just happened?
Why was it so easy for me to say no to your salesman a little while ago, while with you I purchased the diamond?
The dealer replied: “That salesman is the best in the business.
He knows more about diamonds than anyone, including myself, and I pay him a large salary for his knowledge and expertise.
But I would gladly pay him twice as much if I could put into him something I have, which he lacks.
You see, he knows diamonds…
… but I love them!”

கடவுளே! நீரே என் இறைவன்! உம்மையே நான் நாடுகின்றேன்; என் உயிர் உம்மீது தாகம் கொண்டுள்ளது; நீரின்றி வறண்ட தரிசு நிலம் போல என் உடல் உமக்காக ஏங்குகின்றது. உம் ஆற்றலையும் மாட்சியையும் காண விழைந்து உம் தூயகம் வந்து உம்மை நோக்குகின்றேன்.
ஏனெனில், உமது பேரன்பு உயிரினும் மேலானது; என் இதழ்கள் உம்மைப் புகழ்கின்றன. என் வாழ்க்கை முழுவதும் இவ்வண்ணமே உம்மைப் போற்றுவேன்; கைகூப்பி உமது பெயரை ஏத்துவேன். அறுசுவை விருந்தில் நிறைவடைவது போல என் உயிர் நிறைவடையும்; என் வாய் மகிழ்ச்சிமிகு இதழ்களால் உம்மைப் போற்றும். ஏனெனில், நீர் எனக்குத் துணையாய் இருந்தீர்; உம் இறக்கைகளின் நிழலில் மகிழ்ந்து பாடுகின்றேன். நான் உம்மை உறுதியாகப் பற்றிக்கொண்டேன்; உமது வலக்கை என்னை இறுகப் பிடித்துள்ளது.

அகில உலகையும் படைத்த அன்பின் ஆண்டவரே! இந்த காலை வேளையில் உம்மையே என் சிந்தை நாடுகின்றது. உம் திருமுகத்தைக் காண என் மனம் ஏங்கித் தவிக்கின்றது. படைப்புகள் அனைத்தோடும் சேர்ந்து நான் உம்மை வாழ்த்திப் போற்றி ஆராதிக்கின்றேன். உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகின்றேன்.
உயிர்த்த எம் இறைவா! தூய ஆவியை எங்களுக்குள் அனுப்பி எங்களுக்கு துணிவையும், ஞானத்தையும் தந்தருளும். அலகையின் அனைத்து சூழ்ச்சிக்களில் இருந்தும் எங்களை தப்புவியும். அன்று கல்லறைத் தோட்டத்தில் மகதலா மரியா உம்மைக் கண்டு கொண்டது போல நாங்கள் இன்று சந்திக்கும் நபர்களில் உம்மைக் கண்டு கொள்ள அருள்புரியும். உலக காரியங்களில் நாங்கள் பற்று கொள்ளாமல் இறை வார்த்தைக்கே முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்க அருள் செய்யும்.
இரக்கத்தின் இறைவா!
‘நம்பிக்கையின் திருத்தூதர்’ என அழைக்கப்படும் புனித மகதலா மரியாவை நினைவுகூறும் இந்நாளில், பாவ சேற்றில் மூழ்கி அதில் சிக்கித் தவித்து அதிலிருந்து வெளியேற முடியாமல் தவிக்கும் எண்ணற்ற மக்களுக்காக விஷேசமாக வேண்டுகிறோம். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் பாவங்களைக் களைந்து மனம் மாறி அன்பின் பிள்ளைகளாக உமது பாதையில் நடக்க மன்றாடுகிறோம்.

Creator God, you have caused the sun to rise once again. What a beautiful reminder of new birth and resurrection! I praise you for the new light you bring to the world each day.
I know that each day you will reveal yourself in a new sunrise. I have yet to find a morning where the sun refuses to rise or an evening without a sunset in the west. Thank you for giving me some things that are certain for it helps me in those moments of uncertainty to know that my hope is built on something more than the shifting sand of this world.
Today, O God, I pray for the gift of your presence, please make yourself visible to me and those who need to know the assurance of your presence. Help us to see your light break through in life’s most mundane moments, through the challenges and opportunities of this day that I may respond in a way that brings glory and honor to you. In the matchless name of God I pray.

எம் அன்பு இறைவா! உம்மை நாங்கள் போற்றுகின்றோம், புகழ்கின்றோம், மகிமைபடுத்துகின்றோம், ஆராதனை செய்து நன்றி கூறுகின்றோம்.
எங்களை ஒரு குழுவாக, குடும்பமாக, நண்பர்களாக உறவை வளர்க்கும் கருவியாக, உறவோடு உமது ஞான வார்த்தைகளை பகிர்ந்து கடமையைச் செய்ய, உறவில் நாங்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியைக் காணச் செய்ததற்காக, நன்றி கூறுகின்றோம்.
இன்றைய நாள் முழுவதும் எங்கள் உடனிருந்து, பாதுகாத்து, ஆலோசனை தந்து, ஆரோக்கியத்தை அளித்து, சோர்வுகள் எங்களை தாக்கினாலும் எமக்கு ஆற்றில் தந்து, அரவணைத்தீரே உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகின்றோம்.
உமது அன்பை பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில் எங்களை இன்று நடக்கச் செய்தீரே, உமது ஆவியின் வரங்களினால் எங்களை நிரப்பினீரே உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகின்றோம்.
பிறருக்கு ஆறுதல் அளிக்க மறந்ததற்காகவும்; பாராட்ட மறந்ததற்காகவும்; நன்றி சொல்ல மறந்ததற்காகவும்; உற்சாகப்படுத்த மறந்ததற்காகவும் எங்களை மன்னியும்.
தேவையான நேரத்தில் பிறருக்கு உதவி செய்ய, பிறருக்கு நன்மை செய்யத் தவறியதற்காக எங்களை மன்னியும்.
பிறருடைய கடைமைகளிலே நாங்கள் தடையாக இருந்திருந்தால் அல்லது சிரமம் கொடுத்தற்காக எங்களை மன்னியும்.
எங்கள் பெற்றோரிடமும் சகோதர சகோதரியிடமும், நண்பர்களிடமும் பிள்ளைகளிடமும், மனம் புண்படும்படியாக எதாவது செய்திருந்தால் எங்களை மன்னியும்.
தாயும் தந்தையுமான இறைவா! இந்த இரவில் நல்ல தூக்கத்தைத் தந்தருளும்.
நாளை காலை மீண்டும் எழுந்து உம்மைப் போற்றிப் புகழவும், உம்மோடு இன்னும் நெருங்கி வாழவும் அருள்புரியும்.

One day a nail looked at the hammer in pain and asked, ‘Why is it that you always hit me.’
The hammer lowered its gaze and gently replied. ‘I don’t strike you to hurt you but to fulfill your purpose’.
‘But it hurts’ said the nail.
‘I know,’ said the hammer, ‘but without those strokes you would never go deep into the wood, you would never be steady and never will hold anything.’
The nail after little silence asked, ‘Don’t you get tired of hitting me.’
The hammer replied, ‘I do, but when I realize that it is worth it and know that my efforts put you in the right place, my tiredness seems to vanish’.
The nail smiled and said ‘Thank you, for even when it hurts you, you don’t leave me half way through’.
Sometimes life hits us not to break us but to put us exactly where we are meant to be. Pain is also progress.
There are two types of relationships. One gives love, the other gives experience.
Let’s keep the relationships that give love, in our hearts and that which gives experience in minds!

The day lies before me, Father, so prepare my heart and spirit to work in this day for your holy completion.
Holy One, in your life among your people you knew the length of human days and the work of human hands. By your presence, you have sanctified my tasks here on earth, and have made them gifts for your kingdom here on earth. Renew my human strength and let my courage soar as on the wings of eagles. Let those who see my joy in you, see also your holy presence here on earth.
Bless the work of my hands, the tasks of this day, and the heart and spirit of my worship that they may be pleasing in your sight. Turn my eyes toward you alone. In the blessed name of you Lord I pray.

கடவுளே! எனக்கு இரங்கும், எனக்கு இரங்கும்; நான் உம்மிடம் தஞ்சம் புகுகின்றேன்; இடர் நீங்கும்வரை உம் இறக்கைகளின் நிழலையே எனக்குப் புகலிடமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளேன். உன்னதரான கடவுளை நோக்கி, எனக்காக யாவையும் செய்து முடிக்கும் இறைவனை நோக்கியே நான் மன்றாடுகின்றேன். வானகத்தினின்று அவர் எனக்கு உதவி அனுப்பி என்னைக் காத்தருள்வார்; என்னை நசுக்குவோரை இழிவுப்படுத்துவார். கடவுள் தம் பேரன்பையும் வாக்குப் பிறழாமையையும் வெளிப்படுத்துவார். மனிதரை வெறியோடு விழுங்கும் சிங்கங்கள் போன்றவரிடையே நான் கிடக்கின்றேன்; அவர்களின் பற்கள் ஈட்டியும் அம்பும் போன்றவை; அவர்களின் நா கூர்மையான வாள் போன்றவை. கடவுளே! வானங்களுக்கு மேலாக நீர் உயர்த்தப்பெறுவீராக! பாரெங்கும் உமது மாட்சி விளங்குவதாக!

என் அன்புக்குரிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவே, கடந்த இரவு முழுவதும் உம்மிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட என்னை, உமது தெய்வீக ஆசீரால் பாதுகாத்து, இப்புதிய நாளை காண செய்த இறைவா! உம்மை வாழ்த்தி போற்றி ஆராதிக்கின்றேன். உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்.
இயேசுநாதருடைய திருநாமத்தினாலே எழுந்திருக்கிறேன். படுக்கையில் இருந்து எழுந்தது போல பாவத்தை விட்டெழுந்து, மறுபடியும் நான் பாவத்தில் விழாதபடிக்கு என்னைத் தற்காத்தருளும் இறைவா!
என் துன்ப நேரத்திலும், ஆபத்துக் காலத்திலும் என் ஆன்மாவைத் தூக்கி நிறுத்தி, என் பலவீனத்தை பலப்படுத்தி, என் எதிரிகளின் எல்லா தாக்குதல்களையும் எதிர்கொள்ளத் துணிவை அளித்து, நல்லவராகிய என் கடவுளிடமிருந்து என்றும் பிரியாதிருக்க உமது வல்லமை அளித்தருளும்.
