All of us at some time or the other, have come across Family pictures…
… the one bearing many generations of family members
The grandfather and grandmother… with their sons and daughters and their spouses and their little children etc.

Perhaps, some of us have such family portraits or pictures with us.

Every such Family Photo gives a nostalgic feel…
Those are not mere printed papers….
They contain legacies
They are filled with memories

They give a glimpse of the past: struggles, disappointments, mistakes, events hard to acknowledge….
They give an inkling to the future: love, laughter, hope, blessings…
They are a witness to the present: unity, fellowship, brokenness, anger….

A family photo also reveals… the Presence of the Higher Being – God…
… Who has worked in unknown yet amazing ways.

His presence is very much seen in many of our family situations.
Hard situations converted to moments of grace
Tough times transformed to strengthening situations

படைகளின் ஆண்டவரே! உமது உறைவிடம் எத்துணை அருமையானது!

என் ஆன்மா ஆண்டவரின் கோவில் முற்றங்களுக்காக ஏங்கித் தவிக்கின்றது; என் உள்ளமும் உடலும் என்றுமுள இறைவனை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் பாடுகின்றது.

படைகளின் ஆண்டவரே! என் அரசரே! என் கடவுளே! உமது பீடங்களில் அடைக்கலான் குருவிக்கு வீடு கிடைத்துள்ளது; தங்கள் குஞ்சுகளை வைத்திருப்பதற்குச் சிட்டுக் குருவிகளுக்குக் கூடும் கிடைத்துள்ளது.

உமது இல்லத்தில் தங்கியிருப்போர் நற்பேறு பெற்றோர்; அவர்கள் எந்நாளும் உம்மைப் புகழ்ந்து கொண்டேயிருப்பார்கள்.

உம்மிடருந்து வலிமை பெற்ற மானிடர் பேறு பெற்றோர்; அவர்களது உள்ளம் சீயோனுக்குச் செல்லும் நெடுஞ்சாலைகளை நோக்கியே உள்ளது.

ஜெபிப்போமாக:

விண்ணுலகில் வாழும், எல்லாம் வல்ல தந்தையாகிய கடவுளே! இதோ இந்த இனிய காலைப் பொழுதினிலே, உம்மை போற்றி புகழுகின்றோம், வாழ்த்தி வணங்குகிறோம்.

உமது மேன்மையான படைப்புகள் அனைத்தையும், உமது வார்த்தையால் உருவாக்கினீர். ஆனால், மனிதனை உம் விருப்பப்படி உமது சாயலில் உருவாக்கினீர். ஆகவே, உமது திருமகனின் விலைமதிக்க முடியாத இரத்தத்தால், எங்களை மீட்க திருவுளம் கொண்டு அவரை பலியாக்கினீர். நன்றி அப்பா! நன்றி ஆண்டவரே! நன்றி தேவனே!

அப்பா! உம்மிடமிருந்து எங்களை பிரிப்பதற்காக, சாத்தான் கர்ஜிக்கும் சிங்கம் போல அலைந்து திரிந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறான். அவனிடமிருந்து எங்களை விலக்கி காத்தருளும். சாத்தானின் சோதனைகள் மூலம், பல்வேறு துன்பங்களை அனுபவிக்கும் அனைவரையும் மீட்டருளும் அப்பா.

இவ்விதம், நாங்கள் எந்த சூழ்நிலையிலும், சாத்தானுக்கும், பாவத்திற்கும் அடிமை ஆகாதபடி வாழ்வோமாக! இவ்வாறு ஆண்டவரே, உமக்கு சாட்சியான பிள்ளைகளாக, எப்போதுமே வாழும் வரத்தை எங்களுக்கு தந்தருளும்.

“Parents are not around forever. Call them, visit them, take their grandchildren to see them, laugh with them, hug them, let them speak and tell you old stories over and over again, bring them their favorite food and sweets, treat them with respect, patience, and plenty of love.”

Each shared moment, a precious jewel, reflects the boundless wellspring of their devotion. The simple acts—a phone call, a visit, the laughter echoing through shared stories—become profound expressions of gratitude and connection.

Let us cherish these opportunities, embracing the repetitive tales and familiar comforts, for they are the threads that weave the rich tapestry of family.

Respect, patience, and love are not mere gestures, but the very essence of honoring the irreplaceable bond we share, ensuring that their legacy lives on, not just in memory, but in the warmth of our hearts and actions.

Morning Prayer

How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!
My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise!
Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
(Psalm 84:1-5)
Let us pray:
O God, Almighty Father, who dwells in heaven! Behold, in this sweet morning hour, we praise and glorify You, we salute and worship You.
You created all Your magnificent creations by Your word. But You created humanity in Your image, according to Your will. Therefore, You willed to redeem us by the priceless blood of Your beloved Son and offered Him as a sacrifice. Thank You, Father! Thank You, Lord! Thank You, God!
Father! To separate us from You, Satan roams about like a roaring lion. Keep us away from him and protect us. Deliver, Father, all who suffer various afflictions through the temptations of Satan.
Thus, may we live in such a way that we are never enslaved by Satan or sin in any circumstance! Grant us, O Lord, the grace to always live as Your witnessing children.

Remember having learnt the multiplication table by constant, loud repeating until you knew them by heart?

When we hear what we say, it gets into our heart….
>> It’s vital to hear well, so that it gets drilled into our heart!

It is interesting to notice how the Bible often uses some part of the human body to make an important spiritual observation or illustrate an principal Biblical truth…
… as does this verse: “He who has ears, let him hear!”

“God has given us two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we talk.”

இரவு செபம்..

அன்பு இறைவா! உம்மை நாங்கள் போற்றுகின்றோம், மகிமைபடுத்துகின்றோம், ஆராதனை செய்து நன்றி கூறுகின்றோம். எங்களை ஒரு குழுவாக, குடும்பமாக, நண்பர்களாக உறவை வளர்க்கும் கருவியாக, உறவோடு உமது ஞான வார்த்தைகளை பகிர்ந்து கடமையைச் செய்ய, உறவில் நாங்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியைக் காணச் செய்ததற்காக நன்றி கூறுகின்றோம்.

பிறருக்கு ஆறுதல் அளிக்க மறந்ததற்காகவும்; பாராட்ட மறந்ததற்காகவும்; நன்றி சொல்ல மறந்ததற்காகவும்; உற்சாகப்படுத்த மறந்ததற்காகவும் எங்களை மன்னியும்.

தேவையான நேரத்தில் பிறருக்கு உதவி செய்ய, பிறருக்கு நன்மை செய்யத் தவறியதற்காக எங்களை மன்னியும். பிறருடைய கடைமைகளிலே, நாங்கள் தடையாக இருந்திருந்தால் அல்லது சிரமம் கொடுத்தற்காக எங்களை மன்னியும்.

எங்கள் பெற்றோரிடமும், சகோதர சகோதரியிடமும், நண்பர்களிடமும், பிள்ளைகளிடமும் மனம் புண்படும்படியாக எதாவது செய்திருந்தால், எங்களை மன்னியும்.

தாயும் தந்தையுமான இறைவா! இந்த இரவில் நல்ல தூக்கத்தைத் தந்தருளும். நாளை காலை மீண்டும் எழுந்து, உம்மைப் போற்றிப் புகழவும் உம்மோடு இன்னும் நெருங்கி வாழவும் அருள்புரியும்.

வாருங்கள்; ஆண்டவரைப் புகழ்ந்து பாடுங்கள்; நமது மீட்பின் பாறையைப் போற்றி ஆர்ப்பரியுங்கள்.

நன்றியுடன் அவர் திருமுன் செல்வோம்; புகழ்ப் பாக்களால் அவரைப் போற்றி ஆர்ப்பரிப்போம்.

ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவர் மாண்புமிகு இறைவன்; தெய்வங்கள் அனைத்திற்கும் மேலான பேரரசர்.

பூவுலகின் ஆழ்பகுதிகள் அவர்தம் கையில் உள்ளன; மலைகளின் கொடுமுடிகளும் அவருக்கே உரியன.

கடலும் அவருடையதே; அவரே அதைப் படைத்தார்; உலர்ந்த தரையையும் அவருடைய கைகளே உருவாக்கின.

வாருங்கள்; தாள்பணிந்து அவரைத் தொழுவோம்; நம்மை உருவாக்கிய ஆண்டவர்முன் முழந்தாளிடுவோம்.

அன்பு தெய்வமே! இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவே! இதோ இந்த காலை வேளையிலே, உம்மை போற்றுகின்றோம். உம்மோடு பேச, உமது பாடுகளை தியானிக்க, அதில் பங்கெடுக்க வந்திருக்கும் எங்களை ஆசீர்வதித்தருளும்.

அப்பா! நீர் இறைமகனாக இருந்தாலும், உம்மிடம் இவ்வளவு தாழ்ச்சி, இவ்வளவு பணிவு, இவ்வளவு அன்பு என சொல்லிகொண்டே போகிறேன்.. அப்பா! உமக்கு முன்பாக நான் ஒரு குப்பை, எதற்கும் உதவாத குப்பையை போல் இருக்கிறேன். எங்களையும் உமது தாழ்ச்சி ஆட்சி செய்யட்டும், இதோ எங்களை உம்மிடம் ஒப்படைக்கின்றோம், உமது தாழ்ச்சியின் பாதையில் எம்மை வழிநடத்தும்.

ஆண்டவரே! என் உள்ளத்தை தூய்மையாக்கும், எங்கள் பாவத்தை உமது இரத்தத்தால் கழுவியருளும், எனது உள்ளத்தை நீர் வாழும் இல்லமாக மாற்றும். உம்மைப்போல நாங்களும், எங்களின் சகோதர சகோதரிகளுடன் இருக்கும் வெறுப்பு, மனக்கசப்பு, ஆகியவற்றை விலக்கி, தாழ்ச்சியின் வழிநடக்க உதவி புரியும் அப்பா.

அன்பு தெய்வமே! தினசரி வயிற்று தேவைக்காகவும் மற்றும் மறைந்து போகும் புகழுக்காகவும், நாங்கள் உம்மை மறந்து பிற வேலைகளில் ஈடுபடுகிறோம், எங்களை மன்னியும். இதுபோன்ற, உலக செயல்களில் ஈடுபடும் எங்களை தீயோனிடமிருந்து மீட்டருளும். எங்கள் மனதை, உண்மையின் பாதையில் நடத்தியருளும். தீயோனின் சதி செய்யல்களை நாங்கள் கண்டறிய எங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வீராக! மேலும், பாவம் எங்களை ஒருநாளும் மேற்கொள்ளாதவாறு எங்களை காத்திடுமாறு உம்மிடம் இறைஞ்சி மன்றாடுகின்றோம்.

LEARN NOT TO QUIT

When God wants us to grow, He breaks us and He makes us feel lost. So, we have to search and find our true path, which will rebuild us stronger.

He drains us, that we may learn endurance. He will isolate us, so that we discover our own power.

Our next level is coming, let’s not break. Everyone’s time will come.

Some graduate at twenty-one, but wait six years to get a good job. Some have no education, but are millionaires at twenty-one. Some get married at twenty, but divorce in just five years. Some get married at a later age, but find everlasting love.

Challenges makes us more responsible. Always remember that life without struggle is a life without success.

We are neither late nor early. We are on time. Our time will come. Let’s stick to our dreams.
Let us not give up and learn not to quit.

Saint Bridget of Sweden

Saint Bridget of Sweden (July 23, 1303 – 1373)
Born into a family of high standing in the royal court, Bridget received an excellent education and excelled in her faith and devotion. She frequently meditated devoutly on the Passion of the Lord Jesus. At the age of 14, she married Magnus, the King of Sweden, and together they had eight children. Her beloved daughter, Catherine, also attained sainthood.
After her husband, the King, passed away, Bridget joined the Franciscan Third Order. She used all her husband’s property to establish the Bridgettine Order and authored several books. She had a vision of Jesus hanging on the cross, wept, and asked, “Lord, who inflicted this suffering?” Jesus replied, “Those who reject my love.” When she then asked how to express gratitude, Jesus said, I LOVE YOU
