Today’s Prayer
O Virgin, fair as the moon, delight of the angels and saints in heaven, grant that we may become like you and that our souls may receive a ray of your beauty, which does not decline with the years but shines forth into eternity. O Mary, sun of heaven, restore life where there is death and enlighten spirits where there is darkness. Turn your countenance to your children and radiate on us your light and your fervor. Amen
A DIAMOND—-SHORT STORY
A diamond doesn’t sparkle when it’s buried. It just looks like another piece of carbon, dark, rough and ordinary.
When pulled out, placed in the right hands, polished, and set under the lights, it shines. Not because it suddenly became valuable, but because it is finally in the right place to show what it always was.
This is a lot like us. Sometimes we feel invisible, overlooked or not good enough.
It is not because we don’t have talent or value, but because we are in an environment that can’t see it.
We may be measured against the wrong standards or be surrounded by people who don’t recognize us.
We might be in a soil that doesn’t help us grow. Improvement matters, and so does alignment with the right environment, the right people and with the right purpose. So if feeling stuck or unseen, let’s not rush to doubt ourselves.
Remember that a diamond in the earth is still a diamond. We are not worthless. We are just be misplaced.
A thought for today!
The greatest gift you can give someone is your time. This is because your time is a part of your life that you can never get back.
Even if you can’t do great and lofty things, it’s okay, just do the small things you do exceptionally well!
God will not grant you boons, he will only give you opportunities. It is in your hands to turn them into blessings or curses.
If you have noble thoughts, a broad perspective, and honest actions, no one can defeat you!
Morning prayer
Psalm 16
Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”
Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
(Psalm 16: 1-2, 5, 7-8, 11)
Prayer
Ever-living Father, our God! You have given us another new day and another new opportunity to repent. Thank you, God! 🙏
Jesus, you said, “First, remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s or sister’s eye.”
When we find fault in others and point out their flaws, we forget about the plank in our own eye. Please forgive us.
Jesus, I begin this day in your name. Bless and guide me. I surrender all the events of this day, both good and bad, to your immaculate Sacred Heart.
Jesus, Mary, Joseph, I surrender my heart and soul to you.
Amen. †
SHORT STORY——-DIAMOND
வைரம் இருளில் பிரகாசிக்காது
ஒரு வைரம் புதைந்திருக்கும்போது பிரகாசிப்பதில்லை. அது இருண்ட, சொரசொரப்பான, சாதாரணமான மற்றொரு கரித்துண்டு போல்தான் காட்சியளிக்கும்.
அதை வெளியே எடுத்து, சரியான கைகளில் கொடுத்து, பளபளப்பாக்கி, வெளிச்சத்தின் கீழ் வைக்கும்போது, அது ஒளிர்கிறது. திடீரென அதற்கு மதிப்பு வந்துவிட்டதால் அல்ல, அது எப்போதும் கொண்டிருந்த மதிப்பைக் காட்ட சரியான இடத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டதால்.
இது நம்மைப் போன்றதுதான். சில நேரங்களில் நாம் கண்ணுக்குத் தெரியாதவர்களாக, கவனிக்கப்படாதவர்களாக, அல்லது திறமையற்றவர்களாக உணர்கிறோம்.
நமக்கு திறமை அல்லது மதிப்பு இல்லாததால் அல்ல, மாறாக அதை அறியாத ஒரு சூழலில் நாம் இருப்பதால்தான்.
நாம் தவறான அளவுகோல்களால் மதிப்பிடப்படலாம் அல்லது நம்மை அடையாளம் காண முடியாதவர்களால் சூழப்பட்டிருக்கலாம்.
நாம் வளர உதவாத மண்ணில் இருக்கலாம். நம்மை மேம்படுத்துவது அவசியம், அதேபோல சரியான சூழல், சரியான நபர்கள், மற்றும் சரியான நோக்கத்துடன் இணைந்திருப்பதும் அவசியம். எனவே, நாம் சிக்கிக்கொண்டதாக அல்லது கண்ணுக்குத் தெரியாதவர்களாக உணர்ந்தால், நம்மை நாமே சந்தேகித்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டாம்.

SHORT STORY —-COBBLER
In a particular town, there lived a cobbler, who was unable to make a living by his trade.
Driven to despair by his poverty, he accommodated himself in another far-away town, and began to practice medicine.
He sold a drug which he claimed to be an antidote for all sorts of poisons.
— Towards this end, he also created a great popularity campaign through advertisements and boastful proclamations.
Unfortunately, in a short period of time, the cobbler himself happened to fall sick to a serious illness.
— The ruler of the town sought this as a nice chance to test his medicine’s capability and the man’s genuineness.
For this, the ruler called for a cup, and filling it with water, pretended to mix poison with the cobbler’s antidote…
… commanding him to drink, with a promise of a handsome reward.
The sick cobbler, overcome with much fear and trembling, confessed that he had no knowledge of medicine!
The ruler then called the people of the town and addressed them:
“Oh how foolish are you!
>> You have not hesitated to entrust your heads to a man, whom no one could employ to even make shoes for their feet!”
Often times, perhaps, it so happens that we too…
… get fooled in life
… get led by people who are incapable
… get ourselves to be a slave to things which are unbecoming
We become blind…
… and perhaps, we also lead others to stumble!
Night Prayer
Dear God, our refuge and protector, we thank you for guiding us on the path of your light and protecting us from harm throughout the day. We are grateful for your presence in our lives, and we entrust our souls to you as we sleep.
Lord Jesus Christ, you are our comfort and strength in times of trouble. We thank you for your protection and care, and we ask that you grant us peaceful rest and refreshment during the night.
May we wake up tomorrow morning with renewed spirit and body, ready to face the challenges of a new day. We ask this in your name, Amen.

அன்டி வந்தோரை ஆதரிக்கும் எங்கள் அடைக்கலமான ஆண்டவரே! இன்றைய நாள் முழுவதும் உம்மீது நாங்கள் வைத்த நம்பிக்கையினால், உமது ஒளியின் பாதையிலே எங்களை வழிநடத்தி, எங்களுடைய செயல்கள், வேலை, பயணம் போன்ற எல்லாவித சூழ்நிலைகளிலும், எந்த பொல்லாப்புகளும் எங்களை நெருங்காமல் பாதுகாத்து வந்ததற்காக உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகின்றோம்.
மலைபோல் வரும் துன்பத்தை, பனிபோல் நீக்கிவிடும் எங்கள் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவே! ஒவ்வொரு நாள் முழுவதும், எவ்வளவோ இடையூர்கள், மன உளச்சல், பணிச்சுமை, கடினமான உழைப்பு, உடல் சோர்வு போன்ற பிரச்சனைகள் எங்களை வாட்டி வதைத்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது. ஆனாலும், உம்மீது நாங்கள் வைத்த நம்பிக்கையினால், எல்லாவித பிரச்சனைகளில் இருந்தும் எங்களை விடுவித்து, உமது சிறகுகளின் நிழலில் எங்களை பாதுகாத்து வருகின்றீர் இயேசுவே. நன்றி அப்பா.
இயேசுவே! இன்றைய இந்த இரவு வேளையிலும், எங்கள் ஆன்மாவை உமது கரங்களில் ஒப்படைக்கின்றோம். இறைவா! எங்களுக்கு ஆழ்ந்த, மன அமைதியின் உறக்கத்தை தந்தருளும். காலையில் முழு ஆன்ம, உடல் சுகத்தோடு விழித்தெழுந்து, உமது திருமுகத்தை கானும் வரத்தை, எங்களுக்கு தந்தருள உம்மை வேண்டி மன்றாடுகின்றோம்.

இரக்கமிகு ஆண்டவரே, ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நீர் எங்களுக்காக செய்யும் அனைத்து வல்லமைமிக்க மற்றும் அற்புதமான காரியங்களுக்காகவும் நாங்கள் உம்மை நேசிக்கிறோம், நன்றி செலுத்துகிறோம்!

அப்பா, எங்கள் கவலைகளை நீர் அறிவீர்! எங்கள் கஷ்டங்களை கவனித்துக்கொள்கிறீர். எனவே எங்களுடைய கடினமான கவலைகள் அனைத்தையும் நாங்கள் உம்மிடம் ஒப்படைக் கிறோம். எமது கடின சூழ்நிலைகளை நாங்கள் உமது காலடியில் வைக்கிறோம். ஒரு புதிய நாள் தொடங்கும்வரை எங்களுக்கு அமைதியான உறக்கத்தைக் கொடுத்தருளும். இவை அனைத்தையும் எங்கள் இரட்சகராகிய இயேசுவின் தூய திருநாமத்தில் ஜெபிக்கிறோம்.

இழப்பதற்கு எதுவும் இல்லை, எனும் போது தான், துணிச்சல் தானாக வந்து விடுகிறது!
இந்த உலகில், எதுவும் நிரந்தரம் இல்லாத பொழுது, உன் கஷ்டங்கள் மட்டும், எப்படி நிரந்தரமாகும்!!
ஒருவரின் மரியாதை, வயதை பொறுத்து வருவதில்லை, அவரவர் செய்யும், நற்செயலை பொறுத்தே வருகிறது!!!
