MORNING PRAYER

Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too well pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we have dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when
With the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wider seas
Where storms will show your mastery;
Where losing sight of land,
We shall find the stars.

We ask You to push back
The horizons of our hopes;
And to push into the future
In strength, courage, hope, and love.

Paradox of love

A young nurse once shared her experience after a grueling night shift.
She said: “I walked into the hospital drained, weary and almost broken…
… but I walked out stronger, renewed, and strangely at peace.”

Someone asked her in surprise: “How can you be more energized after giving yourself away the whole night?”

And she replied:
“Because every time I wiped a patient’s tears…
… every time I offered a glass of water
. . every time I simply held a trembling hand
I felt my own heart being healed.
My tiredness melted away.
My weakness turned into strength!”

Isn’t that the paradox of love?
When we pour ourselves out for others…
… God fills us back in.
When we serve…
… we are the ones renewed.
When we give…
… we receive more than we can imagine.

இன்று ஒரு சிந்தனை!

பூனைக்கு, அதிகமாக கவனம் கொடுத்தால், அது தன்னை சிங்கமாக, நினைக்கத் தொடங்கி விடும்!

நல்ல பாம்பிடம், ஒருபோதும் நீதி கிடைக்காது, கடித்த பாம்பை தேடாமல், மருந்தை தேடினால், நன்மை உண்டு!!

பதற்றப்படாதே, மெல்ல மெல்ல தான், எல்லாம் நடக்கும்; தோட்டக்காரன், நூறு குடம் நீர் ஊற்றினாலும், பருவம் வந்தால் தான், பழம் பழுக்கும்!!!

காலை ஜெபம்

முறையான பலிகளைச் செலுத்துங்கள்; ஆண்டவரை நம்புங்கள்.

‘நலமானதை எங்களுக்கு அருள யார் உளர்?” எனக் கேட்பவர் பலர். ஆண்டவரே, எங்கள்மீது உமது முகத்தின் ஒளி வீசும்படிச் செய்தருளும்.

தானியமும் திராட்சையும் நன்கு விளையும் காலத்தில் அடையும் மகிழ்ச்சியைவிட மேலான மகிழ்ச்சியை நீர் என் உள்ளத்திற்கு அளித்தீர்.

இனி, நான் மன அமைதியுடன் படுத்துறங்குவேன்; ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவரே, நான் தனிமையாயிருந்தாலும் நீரே என்னைப் பாதுகாப்புடன் வாழச் செய்கின்றீர்.

✝️ஜெபிப்போமாக:🛐

ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் என்னை காத்து, வழிநடத்துகிற அன்பு ஆண்டவரே! இந்தக் காலைப் பொழுதினிலே உம்மை போற்றி, புகழ்ந்து ஆராதனை செய்கின்றோம்!

ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் உமது மேலான இரக்கத்தை முன்னிட்டு, எங்களை மன்னிப்பதற்காக உமக்கு நன்றி கூறுகின்றோம்!

அப்பா! ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் எங்களை இரக்கத்தோடு கண்ணோக்குவதாலே, நாங்கள் இந்நேரம் வரை நலமுடன் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறோம் என்பதை அறிவோம். நன்றி அப்பா!

என் ஆண்டவர் என்னோடு இருக்கும் பொழுது, நான் எதற்காக அஞ்ச வேண்டும்; கலங்க வேண்டும் என்று, உள்வாங்கும் மனப்பக்குவத்தை எங்களுக்கு தாரும். அப்பா! நாங்கள் நன்மை செய்தாலும், அது எங்களுக்கு தீமையாகவே நிகழ்கிறது.

அப்பா! எங்கள் வெளித்தோற்றத்தை பார்க்காமல், எங்கள் உள்ளத்தின் ஆழத்தில் இருப்பதை பார்ப்பவர் நீர் ஒருவரே. அப்பா! யார் எங்களை குற்றம் சாட்டினாலும், உமக்கு எல்லாம் தெரியுமே. எங்கள் உள்ளத்தில் இருக்கும் வேதனைகளையும், வருத்தங்களையும் தெரிந்தவர் நீங்க ஒருவரே!

அப்பா! நீங்க எங்க கூட இருக்கும் போது, அற்ப மனிதர்கள் எங்களுக்கு எதிராக என்ன தான் செய்ய முடியும்? இறைவா! பிறர் எங்களை வேதனை படுத்தும்போது, அவர்களை மன்னிக்கும் தன்மையை எங்களுக்கு தாரும்.

என் அன்பு இறைவா! எங்களை வெறுக்கும் அனைவரையும், நாங்கள் அன்பு செய்ய வரமருளும். எங்கள் மீது வைத்துள்ள தவறான எண்ணங்களை அவர்கள் மாற்றி கொள்ளவும், அவர்களுக்காக ஜெபிக்கவும் எங்களுக்கு வரமருளும்.

இயேசு மரியே சூசையே! என் இருதயத்தையும், ஆத்துமத்தையும் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்படைக்கின்றேன்.

திருப்பாடல் : 117

பிற இனத்தாரே! நீங்கள் அனைவரும் ஆண்டவரைப் போற்றுங்கள்! மக்களினத்தாரே! நீங்கள் அனைவரும் அவரைப் புகழுங்கள்! ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவர் நமக்குக் காட்டும் மாறாத அன்பு மிகப் பெரியது; அவரது உண்மை என்றென்றும் நிலைத்துள்ளது.

(திருப்பாடல் 117: 1,2)

ஜெபம்

கருணையும், அன்பின் செல்வந்தரும், படைப்பின் ஆண்டவருமான என் இறைவா! நீர் எனக்குத் தந்துள்ள அனைத்து ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும், நன்மைகளையும் நினைத்து நான் உமக்கு நன்றி கூறுகின்றேன். படைப்பு அனைத்தோடும் சேர்ந்து நான் உம்மை போற்றித் துதித்து ஆராதிக்கின்றேன்.

என் இயேசுவே! இன்று நான் காண்பதையும், கேட்பதையும், சிந்திப்பதையும், செயல்படுவதையும், நேரிடுவதையும், அதற்கு ஏதுவான அனைத்தையும், என் இதயத்தைப் பாதிப்பவைகளையும் இன்று உலகமெங்கும் ஒப்புக் கொடுக்கப்படும் திருப்பலியோடு இணைந்து பரிசுத்த அன்னையின் மாசற்ற திரு இருதயத்தின் வழியாக உமக்கு நான் காணிக்கையாக்குகின்றேன்.

இறைவா, இன்றைய ஞாயிறு திருப்பலியை பக்தியோடு பங்குபெற்று உமது திருவுடலை விசுவாசத்தோடு பெற்றுக் கொள்ளும் அனைத்து மக்களையும் நீர் ஆசீர்வதிப்பீராக. பல்வேறு பிணிகளால் வருந்தும் பலரை உமது திருக்கரங்களால் தொட்டுக் குணமாக்கிடும். உமது பிள்ளைகளாகிய எங்களுக்கு நல்ல உடல், உள்ள சுகத்தினைத் தந்தருளும். 🙏

இறைவா, இந்த புதிய வாரத்தில் பிறருக்கு வேதனையோ, வருத்தமோ, பெயரைக் கெடுக்கும் யாதொன்றும் என்னில் இருந்து ஏற்படாதவாறு என் பேச்சுக்களில் கவனத்தோடும், என் செயல்பாடுகளில் விவேகத்தோடும் செயலாற்ற எனக்கு உதவியருளும். ஆன்ம பலத்தால் கோபத்தை அன்பாகப் பகிர்ந்திடவும், அன்பால் பழிவாங்கும் சிந்தனைகளை வெற்றி கொள்ளவும், பல்வேறு இன்னல்களுக்கு உள்ளாக்கப்பட்ட நிலையிலும் சமாதானத்தை இழந்து விடாமல் உம்மையே அடைக்கலமாக்கி நான் வாழ எனக்கு உதவியருளும்.🙏

ஆண்டவரே! நன்மை தீமைகளை பகுத்தறியும் நல்ல ஞானத்தை எனக்குத் தந்தருளும். மேலும் தூய ஆவியானவர் என்னுள் தங்கியிருக்க, என்னுள் இருந்து செயலாற்ற அருள் புரிவீராக. 🙏

திருப்பாடல் : 149

ஆண்டவருக்குப் புதியதொரு பாடலைப் பாடுங்கள்; அவருடைய அன்பர் சபையில் அவரது புகழைப் பாடுங்கள்.
இஸ்ரயேல் தன்னை உண்டாக்கினவரைக் குறித்து மகிழ்ச்சி கொள்வதாக! சீயோனின் மக்கள் தம் அரசரை முன்னிட்டுக் களிகூர்வார்களாக! நடனம் செய்து அவரது பெயரைப் போற்றுவார்களாக; மத்தளம் கொட்டி, யாழிசைத்து அவரைப் புகழ்ந்து பாடுவார்களாக!
ஆண்டவர் தம் மக்கள் மீது விருப்பம் கொள்கின்றார்; தாழ்நிலையிலுள்ள அவர்களுக்கு வெற்றியளித்து மேன்மைப் படுத்துவார். அவருடைய அன்பர் மேன்மையடைந்து களிகூர்வாராக! மெத்தைகளில் சாய்ந்து மகிழ்ந்து கொண்டாடுவாராக!
அவர்களின் வாய் இறைவனை ஏத்திப் புகழட்டும்; இத்தகைய மேன்மை ஆண்டவர்தம் அன்பர் அனைவருக்கும் உரித்தானது.

ஜெபம்

தாழ்நிலையில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு வெற்றி அளித்து மேன்மைபடுத்தும் என்றும் வாழும் எல்லாம்வல்ல எம் இறைவா! எல்லாவிதமான புகழ்ச்சிக்கும் ஆராதனைக்கும் உரியவர் நீர்! இந்த காலை வேளையில் தந்தையே உம்மை வாழ்த்திப் போற்றுகிறோம்.

இறைவா, புதிய வாரத்தில் துவக்கத்திலிருக்கும் எங்களுக்கு இந்த வாரத்தில் செய்ய வேண்டிய பணிகள் அனைத்தையும் அறிவுறுத்தும். இந்த வாரம் முழுவதும் தூய ஆவியானவரின் வழி நடத்துதல் எங்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கப் பெற அருள் புரிவீராக.

“ஒரு காலத்தில் இருளாய் இருந்த நீங்கள் இப்போது ஆண்டவரோடு இணைந்து ஒளியாய் இருக்கிறீர்கள். ஆகவே ஒளி பெற்ற மக்களாக வாழுங்கள்.” என இறைவா எங்களை அழைத்தீர்.

இயேசுவே, நீர் ஒருவர் மட்டுமே உலகின் ஒளி என்பதை மக்கள் உணர்ந்தவர்களாய் உம் பாதையில் எந்நாளும் நடந்திட அருள்புரிவீராக.

குருட்டு வழிகாட்டிகளை நம்பி, ஒளியென நினைத்து அவர்கள் பின்னே இருளை நோக்கிப் பயணம் செய்யும் எண்ணற்ற நபர்களின் அகக் கண்களைத் திறந்தருளும். அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் தவறினை அவர்களுக்கு உணர்த்தியருளும். அலகையின் கைகளில் இருந்து அந்த ஆன்மாக்களைப் பாதுகாத்தருளும்.

இயேசு, மரி! சூசையே! என் இருதயத்தையும், ஆத்துமத்தையும் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்படைக்கின்றேன்.

God’s Calculation…

Two friends, on a pilgrimage, reached a village temple by evening. Since it was already getting dark, they decided to spend the night in the temple.

Soon it started raining. They decided to finish dinner and was about to open their food packets.

Just then a stranger came running and took shelter in the temple. He appeared to be hungry and exhausted. Out of pity, the two friends decided to share their food with him, and the stranger happily agreed.

They opened their food packets and saw that the first friend had 3 rotis with him and the second had 5 rotis. How to divide 8 rotis among 3 persons?

The stranger suggested a simple solution. He asked the two friends to divide each roti into 3 pieces. The resulting 24 pieces were to be shared equally among them – 8 pieces each. The two friends readily accepted. They all finished dinner and slept.

Next morning the stranger said, ‘Thank you for your kindness yesterday. I am now leaving. As a token of my gratitude, please accept this.” He gave them 8 gold coins and left.

The second friend who had 5 rotis in his food packet said, ‘I gave 5 rotis, so I will take 5 gold coins. You gave 3 rotis, so you take 3.” The first friend did not agree. “I gave whatever I had. If I had more rotis, I also would have given more. So, let us share the coins equally – 4 each.”

An argument started and they could not resolve it. So, they went to the village head and explained the problem and asked him to give them justice. The village head was equally convinced by both sides of the argument, and could not come to any decision. He asked them to give him one more day to think.

That night he prayed to the God to suggest him a solution, and slept. In the night, God appeared in his dream and said, “the first friend who had 3 rotis should get one coin, and the other one who had 5 rotis should get 7 coins.”.

The village head was perplexed and begged God to explain. The God said, “the 3 rotis of the first friend were divided into 9 parts; he ate 8 parts and gave 1 part. The 5 rotis of the second friend were divided into 15 parts; he ate 8 parts and gave 7 parts. The gold coins should be divided in accordance with their contribution to the stranger.”

Next morning, the village head called the two friends and gave his verdict, and explained the reasoning for it.

A common story is told of two brothers who were well-known for their crooked business dealings and underworld connections.
>> They were highly mean and cold-blooded in their dealings.

Eventually, one of the brothers died.
>> The surviving brother wanted to give his dead brother, a funeral, fit for a king.
>> He called the funeral home and made all the arrangements.

Then he called a famous minister of the town, and promised him a huge amount of money…
… with the condition, that in his funeral speech, the minister would call his brother ‘a saint!’
>> The minister agreed.

The whole town turned out for the funeral…
… and the minister began: “The man you see in the coffin, was a vile and debauched individual.
>> He was a liar, a thief, a deceiver, a manipulator, a reprobate, and a hedonist.
>> He destroyed the fortunes, careers, and lives of countless people in this city, some of whom are here today.
>> This man did every dirty, rotten thing you can think of.

But…
But… I must tell you one important thing as well…
>> Compared to his brother here
… this man who is lying down dead
… was a saint!”

SHORT STORY ON EAGLE AND CROW

THE ONLY BIRD THAT DARES TO ATTACK AN EAGLE IS A CROW, BUT THE EAGLE NEVER FIGHTS BACK. HERE IS WHY:

*1. The crow is the only bird bold enough to sit on the eagle’s back and peck at its neck.
Relentless. Annoying.
But the eagle… stays calm.

2. The eagle doesn’t flap. Doesn’t fight. Doesn’t waste energy. It does one thing: It rises.

3. The higher the eagle soars. The thinner the air becomes. The crow? It can’t handle the altitude.

4. Eventually, the crow gasps. Loses strength…And falls off.Not because the eagle attacked
But because the eagle ascended.

5. Let the crows talk. Let them peck. You don’t have to respond. Just keep going higher.

6. They can’t follow you forever. Your growth will suffocate their noise. So don’t engage.
