துன்பங்களும், துயரமும் உங்களைத் துரத்துகிறதா? அவற்றிற்கு எளிதாக தீர்வு காண முயல வேண்டுமே தவிர
மன அழுத்தத்திற்கு ஆளாகக் கூடாது..

துன்பம் இல்லாத மனிதர்களே உலகில் யாரும் இல்லை..

அந்த நேரங்களில் கீழே உள்ள மக்களைப் பற்றி சிந்திக்க வேண்டும். அவர்களோடு ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்த்தால் நமது பிரச்சினை எல்லாம் மிகமிக சாதாரணம்…

அதனால் எந்த ஒரு செயலை செய்யும் போதும் நேர்மறையாகவே சிந்திக்க வேண்டும்..

லண்டன் நகரத்தில் ஒரு பெண் வாழ்ந்து வந்தார். அங்கு உள்ள கால நிலைக்கு ரோஜா மலர்கள் நன்கு வளருவது போலவே அவை எல்லோருக்கும் பிடிக்கும்.

ஆனால் இந்தப் பெண்ணிற்கு ரோஜா மலர்கள் என்றாலே அலர்ஜி. ஒரு ரோஜாப்பூ அருகில் இருந்தாலே இவர் கண்களில் இருந்து கண்ணீர் வரும். தும்மல் வரும். ரொம்பவும் கஷ்டப்படுவார்.

அதனால் இவர் ரோஜா மலர்கள் அருகில் செல்லாமல் இருந்து இருந்தார்.

இந்த சூழ்நிலையில் ஒரு நாள் அவருடைய அலுவலகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற ஒரு கூட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொள்ளச் சென்றார்.

அந்த மீட்டிங் அறைக்குள் நுழைந்தவுடன் அவருக்கு ஒரே அதிர்ச்சி. ஒரு பெரிய டேபிளிலில் நூற்றுக் கணக்கான ரோஜா மலர்களை வைத்து அலங்கரித்திருந்தார்கள்.

‘ஒரு பூ அருகில் இருந்தாலே இருக்க முடியாது. இப்போது இந்தக் கூட்டத்தில் இவ்வளவு பூக்கள் மத்தியில் நாம் எப்படி இறுதிவரை இருக்கப் போகின்றோம்’ என்று பயந்தார்.

ஆனால் வேறு வழி இல்லாமல் அவருக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட இடத்தில் சென்று அமர்ந்தார்.

பூக்களைப் பார்த்ததுமே அவருக்கு கண்களில் இருந்து நீர் வந்ததோடு தும்மலும் வந்தது. முகமெல்லாம் சிவந்து விட்டது.

கூட்டம் இன்னும் ஆரம்பிக்கப்படவில்லை. இந்த சூழ்நிலையில், பின்னாலிருந்த ஒருவர் எழுந்து வெளியில் செல்கின்ற போது,

‘ ‘இந்த பூக்களைப் பாருங்கள் நிஜமான பூக்கள் போலவே இருக்கின்றன’ என்று வியந்தபடி கூறிக் கொண்டே சென்றார்.

அப்பொழுது தான் இவருக்குத் தெரிந்தது. அந்தப் பூக்கள் உண்மையான பூக்கள் அல்ல, காகிதத்தில் செய்யப்பட்ட செயற்கை மலர்கள் என்று.

‘இந்தப் பூக்கள் எப்படி எனக்கு அலர்ஜியை ஏற்படுத்த முடியும்’ என இவர் நினைத்த விநாடியே அவருடைய அலர்ஜிக்கு உண்டான அறிகுறிகள் அனைத்துமே மறைந்து விட்டன.

இது தான் நம் மனதின் சக்தி! “ஒன்றை நாம் எப்படி எடுத்துக் கொள்கிறோம் என்பதைப் பொறுத்தே அது நம்மை பாதிக்கும்.

ஆம்.,நண்பர்களே..

‘வாழ்க்கை ரொம்பத் துயரமாக,துன்பமாக இருக்கு’ என்று நீங்கள் நினைத்தீர்களானால், உங்களுக்கு வாழ்க்கையிலுள்ள சின்னச் சின்ன மகிழ்ச்சியான தருணங்கள் கூட உங்கள் கண்ணில் தெரியாது.

ஆனால்,

அதே நீங்கள் ‘வாழ்க்கை ரொம்ப ஆனந்தமாகப் போகுது’ அப்படியென்று நினைத்தீர்களானால்,

”உங்களுக்கு அன்றாடம் நடக்கும் சின்னச் சின்ன நிகழ்வுகள் கூட ஆனந்தமாகத் தெரியும்.

அதனால் நீங்கள் கவலையான நேரங்களிலோ அல்லது மகிழ்ச்சியான நேரங்களிலோ எப்போதும் உங்கள் மனதை நேர்மறையாகவே வைத்திடுங்கள். அது தான் உங்களுக்குச் சிறந்தது.

ஆம், மனதில் நீங்கள் சாதாரணமாக நினைக்கும் எண்ணங்கள் இவ்வளவு சக்தி வாய்ந்தவை

அதனால் நீங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் நேர்மறையாக சிந்தித்து பழகுங்கள். உங்கள் வாழ்க்கை சுமூகமாக செல்லும்.

You cannot bring someone before God in prayer and then bring them before people in gossip…

Those two do not flow from the same heart.

Prayer covers.
Gossip exposes.

Prayer seeks restoration.
Gossip spreads damage.

“Set a guard over my mouth, Lord, keep watch over the door of my lips.”
Psalm 141:3

It is easy to talk about people.
To share what we heard, what we saw, what we think.
Sometimes it even feels harmless.

But words carry weight.
They can either heal or destroy.

When you truly pray for someone, your heart begins to soften toward them.

You begin to see them the way God sees them.
And it becomes harder to tear down the very person you are asking God to restore.

Sometimes the real test of your prayer life is not how long you pray, but how you speak after you pray.

So choose carefully…

Will you be someone who covers in prayer or someone who exposes in conversation?

Because you cannot do both at the same time.

Why do we still doubt…even when we’ve seen enough?

The disciples had already heard it.

They were told.
They were even starting to believe.

And yet—
when Jesus stood among them,

they were startled.
Afraid.
Unsure.

Not because there wasn’t enough evidence.

But because something in them
was still holding back.

And maybe we know that space.

We’ve seen God work.
We’ve experienced moments that were real.

But when it comes to fully trusting,
fully stepping forward—

we hesitate.

We overthink.
We question.
We hold back just enough.

Not because we don’t believe…

but because we’re not ready
to let go of control.

And Jesus doesn’t reject that.

He meets them there.

He shows them.
He reassures them.
He stays.

Until doubt turns into understanding.

Maybe that’s the shift today.

Not pretending we don’t doubt—
but allowing Him to meet us in it.

And moving forward anyway.

Prayer:
Lord,
we believe—
but we still hesitate.

In moments of uncertainty,
when fear and doubt rise within us,
help us not to pull back.

Stay with us,
steady our hearts,
and remind us that You are near.

Give us the courage
to trust You more,
to move forward even when we don’t have all the answers,
and to walk with confidence
knowing You are already with us.

“ஆண்டவரின் முகமோ தீமைசெய்வோர்க்கு எதிராக இருக்கின்றது; அவர், அவர்களின் நினைவே உலகில் அற்றுப்போகச் செய்வார்.
நீதிமான்கள் மன்றாடும்போது, ஆண்டவர் செவிசாய்க்கின்றார்; அவர்களை அனைத்து இடுக்கண்ணினின்றும் விடுவிக்கின்றார். உடைந்த உள்ளத்தார்க்கு அருகில் ஆண்டவர் இருக்கின்றார்; நைந்த நெஞ்சத்தாரை அவர் காப்பாற்றுகின்றார்.
நேர்மையாளருக்கு நேரிடும் தீங்குகள் பல; அவை அனைத்தினின்றும் ஆண்டவர் அவர்களை விடுவிக்கின்றார். அவர்களின் எலும்புகளை எல்லாம் அவர் பாதுகாக்கின்றார்; அவற்றுள் ஒன்றும் முறிபடாது. ஆண்டவர் தம் ஊழியரின் உயிரை மீட்கின்றார்; அவரிடம் அடைக்கலம் புகும் எவரும் தண்டனை அடையார்”.

உடைந்த உள்ளத்தார்க்கு அருகில் இருப்பவரே! நைந்த நெஞ்சத்தாரைக் காப்பாற்றுகின்றவரே!
நேர்மையாளருக்கு நேரிடும், தீங்குகளில் இருந்து விடுவிக்கின்றவரே! உம்மை வாழ்த்தி, வணங்கி, ஆராதனை செய்கிறோம். அற்புதங்கள் செய்யும் எங்கள் அன்பரே! உம்மைப் போற்றி துதித்து நன்றி கூறுகின்றோம்.

ஆண்டவரே! நீர் எங்கள் வாழ்வில் செய்த, அனைத்து வியத்தகு செயல்களையும் நாங்கள் நினைவுகூர்ந்து நன்றி கூறுகின்றோம்.

தந்தையே! என் வாழ்வில், கடந்தபோன காலங்களில், நான் இறைப்பற்றில்லாது இருந்த நேரங்களுக்காக, உம்மிடம் மனம்வருந்தி மன்னிப்புக் கேட்கிறேன். இனி இன்பத்திலும், துன்பத்திலும் எவ்வேளையிலும், உம் பாதங்களை என் கரங்கள் இறுகப்பற்றிக் கொள்ளும்.

இறைவா! இந்நாளில் விஷேசமாக, இறைப்பற்றிலாதவர்களுக்காக வேண்டுகிறேன். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் உம்மில் நம்பிக்கைக் கொள்ளவும், உம் வழி திரும்பவும், உம்மில் கொண்ட விசுவாசம், அனுதினமும் பெருகவும் வேண்டுகிறேன்.

இறைவா! என்னை முழுமையாக உமது பாதத்தில் வைக்கிறேன். உம்முடைய பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே என்னை பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தும். என்னை உமக்கு சொந்தமாக்கும். இன்று முழுமையாக என்னை, உமது திருநாமத்தின் பாத்திரமாக, உம்முடைய ஆவியின் ஆலயமாக என்னை பயன்படுத்தும்.

இறைவா! உம் திருமுகத்தை தேடவும், உம் திருவழியில் நடக்கவும், என் முழு உள்ளத்தோடும், ஆன்மாவோடும் உம்மை அன்பு செய்யவும், உமக்காக வாழவும், பாவத்தை விட்டு விலகவும் அருள்புரியும்.

PSALM 27

ஆண்டவரே, நான் உம்மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்துள்ளேன்; “நீரே என் கடவுள்” என்று சொன்னேன்.

என் வாழ்வின் ஒவ்வொரு கட்டமும் உமது கையில் உள்ளது; என் எதிரிகளின் கையினின்றும் என்னைத் துன்புறுத்துவோரின் கையினின்றும் என்னை விடுவித்தருளும்.

உமது முகத்தின் ஒளி அடியேன் மீது வீசும்படி செய்யும்; உமது பேரன்பால் என்னை விடுவித்தருளும்.

ஆண்டவரே, உம்மை நோக்கி மன்றாடினேன்; என்னை வெட்கமுற விடாதேயும்; பொல்லார் வெட்கிப்போவார்களாக! பாதாளத்தில் வாயடைத்துப் போவார்களாக!

உலகை படைத்த ஒரே இறைவனின் அன்னையே! விண்ணக அரசியே! இதோ இந்த காலை வேளையிலே உம்மோடு பேசவும், உமது துயரத்தில் பங்கெடுக்கவும், அதை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளவும் வந்திருக்கும் என்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்க வேண்டுகிறேன்.

அம்மா! சிலுவை அடியில் உயிரற்ற உமது மகனை, உமது மடியில் கிடத்தி வைத்தார்கள். அப்போது உமது மனது சொல்ல முடியாத துயரத்தில் இருந்திருக்கும், அம்மா எதற்காக இந்த துயரம்? அதை நானே தியானிக்கின்றேன்…

உலகில் எந்த தாய்க்கும் கிடைக்காத துயரம், உமக்கு கிடைக்கபட்டது.

தன்னை பிடிக்க வந்தவனின் காதை, பேதுரு வாளால் வெட்டியபோது, அதை குணமாக்கிய உமது மகனை, அவரது கைகளிலும் கால்களிலும், ஆணிகளை வைத்து சுத்தியால் ஓங்கி அடிக்கும்போது, நீர் பட்ட துன்பத்தை எவ்வாறு எடுத்து கூற முடியும்???

முடக்குவாதமுற்ற ஒருவரை, “நீ எழுந்து உன்னுடைய கட்டிலைத் தூக்கிக்கொண்டு வீட்டுக்குப் போ” என்று சொல்லி, முடக்கு வாதத்தை குணமாக்கிய உமது மகனை இன்று, சிலுவை மரத்தில் அசைய முடியாமல் ஆணிகளால் அடிக்கபட்டு, இரத்தம் வழிந்த உமது மகனை கண்ட போது, நீர் பட்ட துன்பத்தை யாரால் தாங்க முடியும்???

பன்னிரண்டு வயது ஆன, இறந்துபோன ஒரு சிறுமியின் கையைப் பிடித்து “சிறுமி, உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், எழுந்திடு” என்று கூறி உயிர்ப்பித்த, உனக்கென இருந்த அந்த ஒரே மகனை, இன்று சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டு இறப்பதை காணும்போது, நீர் பட்ட துன்பத்தை யாரால் அதை உணர முடியும்???

பெண் ஒருவர், “உம்மைக் கருத்தாங்கிப் பாலூட்டி வளர்த்த உம் தாய், பேறுபெற்றவர்” என்று குரலெழுப்பிக் கூறியதை கேட்ட நீர், இன்று சிலுவையில் அறையும், சிலுவையில் அறையும் என்று அதே மக்கள் கூறுவதையும் நீர் கேட்கும்போது, நீர் பட்ட துன்பத்தை யாரால் அதை பொருத்துகொள்ள முடியும்???

“பெண்களுக்குள் நீர் ஆசி பெற்றவர்; உம் வயிற்றில் வளரும் குழந்தையும் ஆசி பெற்றதே! என் ஆண்டவரின் தாய் என்னிடம் வர நான் யார்? என்று, தன் மகன் ஆண்டவர் என, நீர் கேட்ட வார்த்தைகளையும், இன்று ஆட்சியாளர்கள், “பிறரை விடுவித்தான்; இவன் கடவுளின் மெசியாவும், தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப் பட்டவனுமானால், தன்னையே விடுவித்துக் கொள்ளட்டும்” என்று கேலிசெய்த வார்த்தைகளையும் இப்போது கேட்கும்போது, நீர் அனுபவித்த துயரத்தை யார் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ள முடியும்?

அன்று, இயேசுவுக்குப் பன்னிரண்டு வயது ஆனபோது, எருசலேம் கோவிலில் அவர் போதகர்கள் நடுவில் அமர்ந்து, பேசிய உமது மகனை கண்ட நீர் இன்று, கள்வர்கள் நடுவில் சிலுவை மரத்தில் தொங்கும் உமது மகனை பார்க்கும் போது, நீர் அனுபவித்த வேதனையை யார் ஏற்றுகொள்ள முடியும்?

உனக்கென இருந்தவர் அவர் ஒருவர் மட்டுமே! அவரையும் சிலுவையில் பலிகொடுத்து, தனியே தவித்த உம்மை இந்த நேரத்தில் நினைத்து பார்க்கிறோம் அம்மா.

அம்மா! இப்படி உமது துயரத்தை சொல்லிகொண்டே போகலாம். இதெல்லாம் எங்களுக்காகதான், எங்கள் பாவங்களுக்காக தான். எங்களுக்கு உமது மகனிடமிருந்து, மன்னிப்பை பெற்றுதாரும் அம்மா.

அம்மா! இனி நாங்கள் பாவம் செய்ய மாட்டோம் என்று கூறுவதை தவிர, வேறு என்ன சொல்லி உம்மை நாங்கள் ஆறுதல் படுத்த முடியும்?

இயேசு மரியே சூசையே! என் இருதயத்தையும், ஆத்துமத்தையும் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்படைக்கின்றேன். ஆமென்

PRAYING WITH OUR LADY OF SORROWS

Introduction
Holy Saturday invites us into a sacred silence—a waiting filled with grief, hope, and trust. Today, we walk with Our Blessed Mother, who held within her heart the deepest sorrows united to her Son’s Passion. In her, we see faith that does not waver, love that does not retreat, and hope that does not die. As we reflect on her Seven Sorrows, may we learn to stand with courage beneath our own crosses. Let us enter this prayer slowly, allowing Mary to teach us how to trust God even in darkness, and to wait in hope for the promise of resurrection.

Antiphon: Hail Mary, full of grace…

First Sorrow: The Prophecy of Simeon
Mary brings the Child Jesus to the Temple with joy and obedience. Yet Simeon’s prophecy pierces her heart: her Son will be a sign of contradiction, and a sword will pierce her soul. From the very beginning, Mary embraces a motherhood marked by sacrifice. She teaches us that following God’s will may lead through suffering, but it is always rooted in trust. Today, we reflect on the courage to accept God’s plan, even when it foretells pain.

Prayer: O Sorrowful Mother, you received Simeon’s prophecy with quiet strength. When the future seemed shadowed by pain, you trusted God without hesitation. Teach us to accept the crosses that come into our lives with faith and surrender. When we fear what lies ahead, remind us that God walks with us. Help us to hold fast to His promises, even when they are hidden. May your steadfast heart guide us to trust beyond understanding.

Second Sorrow: The Flight into Egypt
In the stillness of night, Mary and Joseph flee with the Child Jesus to escape danger. Forced into exile, they become strangers in a foreign land. Mary knows the fear of uncertainty and the pain of displacement. Yet she remains calm, trusting God’s protection. This sorrow reminds us of all who are uprooted, vulnerable, and afraid. With Mary, we reflect on God’s presence in times of insecurity and our call to trust Him in every journey.

Prayer: O Mother in exile, you carried Jesus through danger and uncertainty. In your fear, you trusted God’s guiding hand. Be close to all who are displaced, anxious, or searching for safety. Teach us to rely on God when life feels unstable and uncertain. Help us to be compassionate toward those in need, and to recognize Christ in the vulnerable. May your courage inspire us to walk in faith, wherever God leads us.

Third Sorrow: The Loss of the Child Jesus
Mary and Joseph search anxiously for Jesus, lost for three days. The anguish of not knowing where He is pierces Mary’s heart. Yet she perseveres in seeking Him, trusting that He will be found. This sorrow reflects the pain we feel when God seems distant or hidden. With Mary, we learn to continue seeking, even in confusion and silence, believing that God is always near, even when we cannot see Him.

Prayer: O Searching Mother, your heart ached as you sought your lost Son. In your sorrow, you did not give up, but continued to trust and search. When we feel far from God or lost in doubt, guide us back to Him. Strengthen our faith when we cannot find Him easily. Help us to persevere in prayer and trust. May we rediscover Christ in our lives and rejoice in His presence once more.

Fourth Sorrow: Mary Meets Jesus on the Way to Calvary
On the road to Calvary, Mary meets her suffering Son. Their eyes meet, and no words are needed—only shared sorrow and love. She cannot remove His burden, but she stands with Him. This moment teaches us the power of presence in suffering. Sometimes, love means simply being there. Mary shows us how to accompany others in their pain, offering silent strength and unwavering compassion.

Prayer: O Faithful Mother, you met your Son on His way to the Cross and stood with Him in His suffering. Teach us to be present to those who suffer, even when we cannot change their pain. Help us to offer love through compassion and quiet support. When we face our own crosses, give us the strength to carry them with courage. May we learn from you to stand firm in love.

Fifth Sorrow: The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus
Mary stands beneath the Cross as her Son suffers and dies. Her heart is united with His sacrifice. In this moment of profound sorrow, she does not turn away. She remains, faithful and strong. This sorrow invites us to stand before the mystery of suffering with reverence. With Mary, we learn to remain faithful even when faced with deep loss and pain, trusting that God’s love is at work even in death.

Prayer: O Mother of Sorrows, you stood beneath the Cross, sharing in your Son’s suffering. When we face grief and loss, help us to remain faithful as you did. Teach us to trust in God’s love even in the darkest moments. Strengthen us to stand firm in our faith, knowing that suffering is not the end. May we find hope in the Cross and courage in your example.

Sixth Sorrow: The Body of Jesus is Taken Down from the Cross
Mary receives the lifeless body of her Son into her arms. The One she once cradled as a child now lies still. This sorrow is filled with tenderness and deep grief. It reminds us of the pain of letting go and the weight of loss. Yet even in this moment, Mary holds Jesus with love. She teaches us to entrust our sorrow to God and to hold on to love even in grief.

Prayer: O Tender Mother, you held your Son in your arms once more, now in death. In your grief, you remained filled with love. Comfort us in our own losses and sorrows. Help us to trust God when we must let go. Teach us to hold on to love, even in pain. May your gentle strength guide us through grief and lead us to hope.

Seventh Sorrow: The Burial of Jesus
Mary watches as Jesus is laid in the tomb. All seems finished. Silence surrounds her sorrow. Yet deep within, hope remains. Holy Saturday becomes a day of waiting—a quiet trust in God’s promise. Mary teaches us to remain faithful in the silence, to believe that God is still at work even when all seems lost. With her, we learn to wait in hope for the dawn of new life.

Prayer: O Mother of Hope, you entrusted your Son to the tomb, holding faith in God’s promise. In times of silence and waiting, help us to trust as you did. When hope feels distant, remind us that God is working even in hidden ways. Strengthen our faith to believe in new life beyond suffering. May we wait with you in hope, trusting in the resurrection to come.

Concluding Prayer
O Sorrowful Mother, we have walked with you through the path of your sorrows. You teach us that suffering, united with love, becomes a path to grace. Intercede for us, that we may carry our crosses with courage and compassion. May your maternal love lead us closer to your Son, and prepare our hearts to rejoice in the light of His Resurrection. ​O Mary, Mother of the Risen Lord,
On this most holy day, I join my heart to yours in your radiant joy.
The sorrow of the Cross has passed, and the light of the Resurrection
now shines upon the world.
​As you were the first to believe and the first to hope,
help me to live with an “Easter heart.”
Teach me to recognize the presence of your Son
in the quiet moments of my life and in the faces of those I meet.
​Intercede for me, O Queen of Heaven,
that I may cast off the shadows of doubt and fear.
Fill me with the same peace that filled your soul

​The story of Easter begins in the dark—a sealed tomb, a heavy stone, and the deep grief of the followers. When we call Jesus the “Easter Light,” we are acknowledging that no matter how dark a “Friday” or “Saturday” in our lives might feel, Sunday is coming.
​1. Light That Reveals
​Light doesn’t just make things pretty; it makes them visible. The resurrection serves as a beacon that clarifies the purpose of suffering. It suggests that pain isn’t the end of the story, but the backdrop for a greater reveal.
​2. Light That Warms
​Coming out of the “winter” of the soul, the Easter Light is a source of warmth. It represents the restoration of hope and the melting away of fear. Just as the sun coaxes flowers from the frozen ground, this light is said to draw new life out of weary hearts.
​3. Light That Guides
​In a world that often feels chaotic or shadowed, the Easter Light acts as a Lumen Christi (Light of Christ). It serves as a compass, pointing toward a path of compassion, forgiveness, and the radical idea that love is stronger than death.

JESUS AS THE  LIVING WATER OF HEALING:
​Water is the most humble yet most powerful force on earth. It can wear down stone, quench a desperate thirst, and wash away the deepest stains. When we reflect on Jesus as healing water, we see a grace that is both fluid and transformative.
​1. The Living Water for the Thirsty
​In the encounter at the well, Jesus offers “Living Water” that ensures one will never thirst again. This isn’t just about physical hydration; it’s about the deep ache of the human heart—the search for belonging, purpose, and peace. Healing begins when we stop trying to fill ourselves with things that run dry and instead tap into a source that is eternal.
​2. The Power of the Wash

​1. The Source of Eternal Satisfaction
​In the Gospel of John, Jesus meets a woman at a well. She is there for physical water, but He offers her something else:
​”Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.”
​We often try to quench our “soul-thirst” with achievements, relationships, or possessions. But like physical water, these things satisfy only temporarily. To call Jesus “Living Water” is to recognize Him as the constant source. He doesn’t just give a one-time drink; He provides a spring that wells up from within, meaning your peace isn’t dependent on your external circumstances.
​2. Peace in the Flow
​Physical water is most life-giving when it is moving (living), not stagnant. The peace Jesus gives isn’t the “peace” of a graveyard—a lack of movement or noise. Rather, it is the peace of a deep river.
​On the surface, there may be ripples or storms (stress, grief, or chaos).
​But at the depths, the current is steady, cool, and unshakable.
​

READING: Jn: 20: 1–18

This passage is one of the most poignant and transformative moments in the New Testament. It moves rapidly from the darkness of grief to the confusion of an empty tomb, and finally to the radiant joy of the Resurrection.​

​Mary Magdalene arrives at the tomb “while it was still dark.” This isn’t just a time of day; it’s a state of the soul. She is grieving, and her first instinct upon seeing the stone moved is not “He is risen,” but “They have taken the Lord.”
​ We often misinterpret God’s miracles as problems because they don’t fit our current understanding of how the world works. [Pause] ​
​Peter and the “other disciple”  engage in a race to the tomb. John’s description of the linen wrappings is crucial. The face cloth was “rolled up in a place by itself.”
​ John “saw and believed,” even before he saw Jesus. Sometimes, God gives us just enough “evidence of absence”—the removal of what we expected—to make room for faith. [Pause] ​ Mary is weeping, blinded by her tears and her assumptions.
​This is perhaps the most intimate scene in the Gospels. She even mistakes Jesus for a gardener.
​Everything changes with a single word: “Mary.”  Jesus calls her by name. Faith is not just believing in an event; it is being known by a Person. When Jesus speaks your name, the “gardener” of your soul reveals himself. [Pause] ​
​Jesus tells Mary, “Do not hold on to me,” and sends her to tell the others. Mary Magdalene becomes the Apostola Apostolorum—the “Apostle to the Apostles.”
​ Mary moves from seeking a dead body to cling to, to proclaiming a living Spirit to share.
We cannot keep the Resurrection to ourselves. Like Mary, our encounter with the living Christ should naturally turn into the testimony: “I have seen the Lord.” [ Pause] ​

With this divine sentiment let us sing the Psalm 118: 24

Passing a moment of deep silence, let us all pray for the Easter joy, Easter hope, Easter peace, Easter love and Easter healing upon this Universe, Nation,  Mother church, Congregation, family and ———-

“Gracious and Triumphant God, we thank you for the joy of this morning. We came in seeking hope, and we leave carrying the light of the Resurrection. As we depart from this place, may the reality of the empty tomb transform our lives and our world.”

A rich man received a letter from an old friend who had fallen on hard times.
>> The letter pleaded for help – just a small loan to get back on his feet.
>> But the rich man was too busy with his affairs and set the letter aside, intending to respond later.

Months passed.

One evening, while sorting through his desk, the businessman found the letter.
>> Guilt struck him.
How could he have forgotten?

He immediately wrote a reply, apologizing for the delay and enclosing a generous cheque.
>> He mailed it that very night, relieved that he was finally making things right.

A week later, his letter returned – marked “Undeliverable. Recipient Unknown.”

Staring at the envelope, a cold realization settled in…
… he had waited too long!
… and now, no amount of money could fix what had already passed!
