1. The Annunciation – The Angel Gabriel announces to Mary
Let us meditate on the Angel Gabriel appearing to Mother Mary and announcing the Good News.
In today’s First Reading, the Book of Ecclesiastes reminds us:
“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.”
Let us offer this first decade for all young people, that they may understand the importance of seeking God and remembering Him from their youth, rather than waiting until old age to turn towards Him.
2. The Visitation – Mary visits Elizabeth
Let us meditate on Mother Mary visiting Elizabeth.
Today’s Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 90:13) says:
“Return, Lord! How long will it be? Have pity on your servants.”
Let us offer this second decade for all those who are struggling and discouraged, especially those who ask, “Why are dishonest people prospering while I, who try to live honestly, am suffering?” May God see their struggles, hear their cries, and transform their lives.
3. The Nativity – The Birth of Jesus
Let us meditate on the birth of the Child Jesus.
Today we remember Saints Cosmas and Damian, the twin brothers who received from God the gift of healing through their loving service to the poor. Through their witness and holy lives, many people were led to embrace the Christian faith. They finally gave their lives as martyrs.
Let us offer this third decade, asking that we may take Saints Cosmas and Damian as models of holiness, compassion, and selfless service.
4. The Presentation – Jesus is presented in the Temple
Let us meditate on the Child Jesus being presented in the Temple.
As we prepare to participate fully in tomorrow’s Sunday Holy Mass and receive the Body of Christ worthily, let us make a sincere confession and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation with a contrite heart.
Let us offer this fourth decade, asking Almighty God to forgive our sins, cleanse our hearts, and bless us abundantly.
5. The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
Let us meditate on Mary and Joseph finding the Child Jesus in the Temple.
Let us offer this fifth decade in thanksgiving to our loving God, who has protected us, guided us, and accompanied us throughout the whole of this week.
