*1. Meditation on Jesus sweating blood in the Garden of Gethsemane,*
In today's first reading, St. Paul says, _"Each one of you must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband."_
The Catholic Sacrament of Matrimony is a covenant. Husband and wife vow to be faithful to each other in joy and in sorrow, in health and in sickness, and to love and respect each other all the days of their life. Let us offer this first decade that all Catholic couples may faithfully fulfil the promises they made to God.
*2. Meditation on Jesus being scourged at the pillar,*
In today's Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 128:3, it says, _"Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table."_
Let us offer this second decade that all may receive the abundant blessings He gives by fearing the Lord and walking in His ways.
*3. Meditation on Jesus being crowned with thorns,*
In the Gospel, Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a mustard seed and yeast, both of which are small in size but great in power.
Let us offer this third decade in thanksgiving to God, for the Kingdom of God, which was started by Lord Jesus in a simple small town called Nazareth, has now spread throughout the world.
*4. Meditation on Jesus carrying the Cross,*
In this month of the Rosary of our Mother, just as we pray the Rosary daily, let us also encourage others to pray the Rosary. Let us offer this fourth decade that devotion to Mother's Rosary against the evil one may increase.
*5. Meditation on Jesus being crucified and dying on the Cross,*
On this Tuesday dedicated to St. Anthony, let us offer this fifth decade that the afflictions of the evil spirit in families may be removed.
