In today's first reading, St. Paul says, _"Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation."_
Unlike the Israelites who grumbled in the desert and argued with Moses, if we accept God's will wholeheartedly and faithfully carry out the task given to us, we will live as God's spotless children. Let us offer this first decade that we may live as beloved children pleasing to God.
*2. Meditation on the Ascension of Jesus,*
In today's Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 27:1, the Psalmist says, _"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"_
Our God alone can grant us salvation. If we live a life pleasing to God, we need not fear any human being, or anyone with great authority, or even any mighty army. Let us offer this second decade that the Holy Spirit may completely remove fear from our minds and grant us courage.
*3. Meditation on the Descent of the Holy Spirit,*
In today's Gospel reading, Jesus Christ says, _"Whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."_
Let us offer this third decade that each one of us may understand in our hearts that all the sufferings and pains we encounter in our life are a sharing in the Passion of Jesus.
*4. Meditation on the Assumption of Mother Mary,*
Cardinal and today's Saint, _St. Charles Borromeo_, is the patron for complete healing from stomach ulcers and ulcers.
Let us offer this fourth decade seeking his intercession that those suffering from ulcer disease may be healed from it.
*5. Meditation on Mother Mary being crowned as Queen of Heaven and Earth,*
On this Wednesday dedicated to St. Joseph, let us offer this fifth decade that love, peace, harmony, sacrifice, and humility that existed in the Holy Family may also exist in our families.
