Morning prayer

*** Morning prayer *** ​Psalm 16 ​Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” ​Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. ​(Psalm 16: 1-2, 5, 7-8, 11) ​Prayer ​Ever-living Father, our God! You have given us another new day and another new opportunity to repent. Thank you, God! 🙏 ​Jesus, you said, "First, remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s or sister’s eye." ​When we find fault in others and point out their flaws, we forget about the plank in our own eye. Please forgive us. ​Jesus, I begin this day in your name. Bless and guide me. I surrender all the events of this day, both good and bad, to your immaculate Sacred Heart. ​Jesus, Mary, Joseph, I surrender my heart and soul to you. ​Amen. † ​
