Morning prayer

***Morning prayer*** God of wisdom, in the stillness of this new day, I pause to discern your way among competing claims for my allegiance and my time. Only you are true, only you are deserving of my devotion because you are the only God who can give life. Help me to remember this as my allegiance to you is tested through the events of this day. Guide my steps in seeking the well-being of others. Show me what it means to be a righteous person, a follower of your ways. Give me strength and discernment to follow You as I should and live according to your truth and ways. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray.
