Morning prayer

***                                                                 Morning prayer*** God, all creation rejoices in you this morning! Eternal One, you know how much we rely on outward appearances, how much we judge one another by culture, skin color, and social class. You know how enamored we are by success and celebrity. Help us to understand more clearly what is really important and to repent of our reliance on the superficial. Grant to us the mind of good people that we may see beneath the surface and find in all your children the enduring worth that is valuable in your sight. Grant us this day, O God, deeper insight into what is really important in life.
