Hear my voice when I call, O Lord; be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says, ‘Seek His face!’ Your face, Lord, I will seek. Do not hide your face from me; do not turn your servant away in anger; You have been my helper; O God my Saviour, do not reject me or forsake me. I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
(Psalm 27: 7-8a, 8b-9abc, 13-14)
*Prayer*
O Fountain of our life! O You who quench our thirst in Your river of delight! O Source of our salvation! This morning I praise, glorify and adore You.
O Lord! Thank You for Your supreme grace that has embraced and protected us under Your wings throughout last month. 🙏
O Lord! If we walk unwaveringly in Your path, in Your way, we need never fear anyone or anything. We need never fear those who cannot kill the soul. We should fear only You who created the entire universe. But even though I have known this truth, and even though I know that You are always with me, I repent and ask for Your forgiveness for those moments when I was possessed by unnecessary fear brought on by the evil one, losing my peace and being filled with great worry.
Because, O Lord, You have given me not a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love and self-discipline.
O Jesus! Today in a special way we pray to You for an increase in vocations in Catholic families. For You have said, _"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."_
O Jesus, who said _"I am sending you out like lambs among wolves."_ Bless and guide the missionaries and Your people who are working in new places, new environments, and in difficult areas. I pray that the Holy Spirit will grant them good wisdom, eloquence, and courage.
O Lord, I begin this day in Your name. Bless me and guide me.
_Amen._
